Hi everyone! My project is really coming along, and the performance date is coming up really quickly! My performers are all casted and the costumes are started.
I just wanted to post a quick thesis update for anyone who is following my progress. :]
I am creating an interactive performance piece. It takes place in a dystopian world where people are like robots - they don’t connect or communicate with each other or their own emotions. It follows 3 characters who learn about expression and begin to connect with themselves and each other, and realize that they want to change this world into a more magical and connected society. The story will be told through dance, audience participation, and costumes.
Thesis is extremely, incredibly sstressful. #realtalk #artstudentlife

Things I Love This Week- Hello, Weekly Gratitude!
When it comes down to it, I live a beautiful life. And when things get a bit too crazy, it helps to sit down, take a deep breath, and remember some of the little things that are the sunshine of my world.
♥ Surrounding myself with people who love me, and who I love back with intensity. ♥
♥ Allowing myself to get deep into “art mode” and focus completely on my creative process.♥
♥ Planning a vacation- I’m going to Florida for Spring Break with 3 other people, including my boyfriend and my oldest friend. Yowza. I’m literally counting down the days…and it’s 75 degrees in Fort Lauderdale! ♥
♥ Changing seasons- the change from winter into spring always feels like a fresh start and a wake-up call. ♥
♥ Walking around NYC at night. It’s just calming and energizing at once. ♥
♥ Eating healthy food- and alternately, eating cupcakes! ♥
♥ Pups! I love dogs; they are naturally happy! Check out this lil’ lady.♥
♥ 70’s Punk music. I’ve been rocking out this week to the Stooges and the Ramones, and it FEELS SO RAD, MAN. ♥
♥ Throwing themed parties/going dancing with friends. My roommate and I recently hosted a 90’s themed party at our apartment…the next theme is Downton Abbey! ♥
